Why I don’t wanna be Bangalored?

Here is the article. Wait for some more time, we’ll be soon back to, Chennai/Coimbatore, our home towns. That sounds nice isn’t it?

MSP replied saying, ‘The article seems to be baseless.it just starts saying wht are not there in Bangalore..There are more things to it.What does Delhi, Chennai and other cities have…

Electricity: Delhi is half the time in Dark,Chennai is known for power cuts.
Roads: Delhi..is okey but traffic (idea of Delhi goes for a toss) Chennai : Out of Question.
Room Rents: Delhi is as high as Mumbai(next to Mumbai) Chennai: again 10 month billing.
What else: Delhi (Aversion to South India) Chennai: Aversion to Hindi;

Probably Coimbatore and Hyderabad Fair better..in these case..but Internaional presence is a cause of concern.. Any ideas from your side ????’

Then i wrote this to him, ‘Power tariffs in Karnataka are very high. I guess roads And traffic In chennai are better.

Real estate and rents?? The costs will be beyond ur expectations. For a 2BH flat the minium u need to pay is 5000 rupees and that too some 15 KM away from Blore city. And if u want closeby, it is btw 8k to 15k. Think About office-spaces!!! My company is paying 25 lacs every month for the Space and Building. Operating costs are aside.

We don’t want North-Indians to work in chennai. Better they work in Pune/Mumbai or any nearby town. I read somewhere that some 800 ppl every month are being moved from Blore to elsewhere. These ppl are lured with the option to work in their home-towns. One of my relative’s Friend runs a Grocerry shop in Russia. Do u think he learnt Russian before he went there. Yaathum Oore Yaavarum Kealir. If u waana to earn ur Pie and Cheese do try out the odds. Language is never a hinderance.

FYI: A 22 acre SW park is being set up just behind CMC, Coimbatore. And in that 10 acres are alloted for wipro alone.

International presence is required for manufacturing industries. U can develop sw even in Aandipatti. We need just the ppl and the necessary telecom/any such infrastructure.’

Pradeep again, ‘Traffic: I doubt the situation ….Chennai roads are supposed to be bad.
Rents: Would be the same situation as in Bangalore two years down the lane in any city.
Yathum Oore: It does not happen like that Ranjhith. Two countries are different. When it comes to one country and two places it is a problem (My experience)
International Presence: Why do you think people prefer to work in Bangalore rather in tutucorin(though it is Home town).Better oppurtunities…
Office Space: A reason Well taken…valid point..might out throw all other points…Still I doubt’

Any thing more???

Me: ‘Traffic in Blore doesn’t move at all. Before it is cleared there will be one more Red-Signal. You shud be knowing how Azim Premji got caught In Traffic and went late to the Karnataka CM’s BreakFast cum Meeting. This meeting was to disucss the infrastructure problems in Blore. >:o) FireTenders and Ambulances find tough time in attending the emergencies. NewsPapers report lot of casualties due to this. Some 5 flyovers in the city are in the state of limbo. The traffic signals are left unsynchronised. If I wait at a signal, there is a fair probablity of me getting caught in the following one also.

Place/Lang problem is with the employee. Not with the Employer. He can establish and expand wherever there are attractive govt policies and talent. Better opportunities for a employee mean bad times for the employer. Hight Attrition, High Pay scales, More Incentives, Benefits,…. Hmm All these are Cost to the Company. Sustaining ur breath becomes difficult when it is getting very crowded - Suffocation results. Better move, there is fresh air outside.

I had written something relevant to this sometime before. Read this, http://thrattle.wordpress.com/2004/03/25/cypress-fabs-in-blore/

I think this is sufficient’.
