Weblogs.us is a good host, I agree, but for a casual bloggar. Run by 3 individuals, hmm - they really do an excellent job. 100MB WebSpace, free MTBlog, No Ads, Support community,… all these costs absolutely no rupee. WoW sounds good isn’t it? But take a look at this story in SlashDot ‘Hosting Service Closes 3000 Blogs Without Notice Sad isn’t?.
Dave Winer is the possessor of that weblogs.com, he writes, ‘whoever comments a particular post in his blog, will get some support to move his/her site to another host’. What is this? I don’t want get into such troubles.
For that I don’t claim ‘Blogger to be better’. It has lot, lot and lot of bugs. Yesterday I couldn’t edit my profile. The link for it vanished. Even though, their help pages still refer that. Finally i edited the template to hide it from my blog page. Search feature is missing. How do I find a post by ‘Content’ or ‘Title’. Blogger asks me to remember the published date. A few month old blog is fine. But think for a 2 year old blog site. Haha u r fool to do still with Blogger. Can Google crawl into my site? Seems it won’t do. This site:screamcast.blogspot.com abdul+kalam didn’t give anything useful.
