Dayanidhi Maran, Union Minister for Communications & IT of India, dreams to make India a ‘great IT nation’.
Here’s his 10-point plan:
1. Achieve convergence of information, communication and media technologies.
2. Bring about transparency in administration.
3. Broadband connectivity.
4. Next generation mobile wireless technologies.
5. National Internet Exchange and Indian Domain Name.
6. Migrate to new Internet Protocol IPv6.
7. Security & Digital Signature.
8. Media Lab Asia.
9. Language computing.
10. Outsourcing skilled manpower and R&D thrust.
LOOk at 6 & 7, I wonder how a minister can think in such technical terms. Let him do some good work.
